Logantown :)

Okay, so I know the title isn't a song lyric or something... but it actually fits with this post!

I'm back in Utah! Not only am I back in Utah, but i'm in the one place in Utah that I love the most; Logan.

I got all moved in to my apartment on Monday, and i'm really liking where I live! It's super social and i've met almost everyone on my floor so far! This week has been pretty chill since school doesn't start till Monday... so in a way it doesn't really feel like i'm back completely yet. But, once school starts, i'm sure that feeling will go away really soon.


That's my room! It's kinda messy... but that's pretty much the gist of it.

But anyways, I've gotten to get to know my two roommates, Brightyn and Cami, this week. I didn't know them before this year so it'll be fun rooming with someone new!

I'm trying to make a goal this year to blog at LEAST once a week. (We'll see how that goes).

It's getting harder and harder for me to think of cutesy little titles for each of my blog posts. So i'm most likely going to have a quote, whether it be from a movie or a song, as my title from now on. (Note: it will probably have nothing to do with any of my posts).

So yesterday my sister wanted to go to a Civil War battleground. Here are some pictures from it!






I cannot believe how FAST these last few days of summer are going! I'm heading out to Utah on the 19th. I'm going down to Provo first, to help my sister move everything from her old apartment into her new one. That Sunday, i'm going to my cousin Austin's homecoming talk in Spanish Fork! Then on Monday, i'll be heading up north to good ol' Logantown! :) I've really missed that place. I love Logan in the end of summer/fall. That's when the weather it at it's finest. I can't wait to be with all my friends again! I'm really excited about where i'm living too! There is a pool at the apartment so that's where i'll probably be after school everyday until it starts snowing. Also, I finally got into every class I needed/wanted to make my schedule perfect. I had a hard time deciding what Institute class I was going to take though because the one with my favorite teacher form last year doesn't work with my schedule. Hopefully my classes there will be just as fun. It's going to be really exciting the first week too because one of my best friends, Karissa, has her birthday on the first day of school! Then mine is that Friday, plus it's a 3 day weekend. Can we say party? Oh yeah! I'm getting pumped!

Oh summer!

Ahhhh! I can't believe it's almost the end of summer!!! It's gone by so fast! On one hand i'm SO sad that it's ending because I don't want to go back to Utah yet. I just want to stay home. But on another hand I can't wait to start up this new school year! I hope it'll just as fantastic as last year.

Just an update! I quit my job at party city. They weren't giving me any hours! It was getting the point where it was ridiculous and it was like I didn't even work there anyway. So that's that and i'm probably never going to apply for a job that pays minmum wage again.

I just got back from the beach and I feel nice and tan! I still want to bronze up a little more before I head back to Utah. I love being tan!






I need to order my books for school at some point!

I need to figure out what i'm doing for these last few days of summer. I head out in 19 days!

I love Cali!

I was in California this past week for my Grandma's 80th birthday. It was a great family reunion. Even though we were only there for a few days, I seriously love it there. I have family in the San Jose area, so that's where we were for most of the trip. We went up to San Francisco for a little bit then that evening I wanted to get some pictures of the sunset at the beach, so we went to Santa Cruz. There was a roller coaster there that was so fun! I wish we could have been there longer than a couple days so we could have chilled at the beach. Oh well, just another thing to go on my bucket list ;)

A few things you should know about lil ol me

Just some random facts about me/my personality that I feel like letting everyone know about if you don't know me well enough

- I'm a sassy person. I'm sassy when i'm in a good mood and i'm sassy when i'm in a bad mood. So, you shouldn't get offended if i'm sassy towards you because it's most likely nothing personal. It's just my personality.
- I like to make people laugh. If I have to over dramatize a lame story to get a couple giggles out of the person listening, to make it less boring, I will do just that.
- I'm a venter. I tell, almost anyone who will listen, everything. Even if i've just met you like, 10 minutes earlier, I will most likely tell you about my latest crush or something if you seem like a person who is willing to listen. It's really easy for someone to get me talking about who I like or anything that's bothering me. You know when you ask a person, "Oh, who do you like?" and they're all secretive about telling?, ya, that's not me. I will most likely tell, as long as I know you can keep a secret.
- I really like to listen to other people's problems and lives. Honestly. Sometimes, I feel like people don't always trust if I can keep a secret of theirs, since I talk about my own secrets so openly to anyone. That's not true though... I will always be there to listen if you need me to and I will always keep it a secret.
- People who talk smart(smart a's) get the heck on my nerves.
- I'm a talkative person. So if I get really quiet for a long period of time, that most likely means i'm upset/something is bothering me a lot.
- I'm not a little kid. I'm old enough to know what foods I like by now and what food I don't like. I don't think that makes me a picky eater though. That sounds super juvenile and I hate that. I think a picky eater is someone who hasn't tried a food and already claims to dislike it. That's not me. I've tried the foods I dislike. Sometimes it's the texture, sometimes it's the taste that gets me. I just really like simple foods. It's not a big deal.
- I get jealous easily and it sucks.

This is starting to seem like a vent... so I don't want to keep going. But those are just some things about me!

Oh right, I have a blog!

I suppose i'll update you on what i've been up to for the past week or so.

So far, I've only worked a total of three times... sad. I honestly think i'm just the backup. Today they called me to work for more than just a lousy four hours!! So I went in and I FINALLY learned how to do everything thoroughly (about time eh?). For the first time, I feel like I can go in with some confidence because I know what i'm doing. I got my first paycheck from the first night I worked there and got a whopping $29... GET MONEY! YEAH! I'M TOTALLY GOING TO BE MAKING BANK THIS SUMMER!!!!! (note: that was all sarcasm......) I hate working minimum wage, and I hate only being able to work once a week. Next time I apply for a job, I'm letting them know I need to work at least 20 hours a week or i'm out. This kind of made me think about doing my own photography business/studio. I'll be my own boss! That way, I can decide what days I work, and get paid fairly etc. It'll happen.

I've been hanging with my friend Kat at the pool almost everyday for the past two weeks! It's been great! I tan super easily though... so I feel like i'm as dark as I want to be for now. I got two new suits, which I love! Kat is leaving for Florida for a month though.. stinks. But, as soon as she leaves, my sister comes home. So I won't be totally bored! I introduced her to some Utah culture (kind of ha!) There is a Cafe Rio 30 minutes from where I live (the only one on the east coast!). After going on and on about how good the food is at the pool she was like "That's it! I want to go NOW!" So we went there today! She thought it was great! Next time, she's going to show me a mexican restaurant that was in Charleston where she goes to school! The best of both colleges!


The mission farewell invites keep comin'... and I have to keep declinin'. It sucks. Which reminds me... I've been a bum and haven't written back any of my missionaries yet. Whoops. I'll get to that soon.

I really want my sis to be home now, so I can start going to the singles ward. I'm definitely not going alone, that's why I haven't been. And I feel weird in my home ward at this point. So thank goodness Meredith gets back next sunday.

Gosh, I hope i'll have more interesting things to blog about next time! That's it for now!

Ahhhh...

I just ordered the cutest bathing suits from Delias! I can't wait for them to come! I'm probably going to be hitting the pool a lot with my friend Katherine this summer. Ahhh, I've been itching to tan ever since I've been home in this warm weather, so I cannot wait to hit the pool. I really want to go to the beach soon too!!

I really want to do more outdoorsie things. The other day I went to my friend Tamara's house to roast marshmallows with all my close friends from high school! The only thing is... we couldn't keep the fire burning for long. Love those boys to death, but they're nothing like them Utah boys who are like BORN knowing how to make fires. It was pretty hilarious and way fun!

My first day at work was alright. I feel like the only thing I really learned though was how to blow up the balloons. It kind of sucks because I don't know how to help the customers when they come up to the balloon counter. Hopefully they'll actually teach me that part because I feel like the girl I was shadowing didn't want to be there at all, so teaching me how to do stuff was the last thing she probably wanted to do. All I know though, is that probably by the end of this, I REALLY know how to tie balloons. 'It's just for the summer' is what I keep telling myself.
