I can't believe there is only about a month of school left. That is insane! This semester has blown by sooooo fast it's ridiculous! This month has definitely been a busy one in photography! I had to learn how to use a 4x5 camera. If you don't know what that is... it looks like this:
This camera has kind of been a pain in the butt to use too... because unlike the 35mm film camera, where you get maybe 28 shots on one roll of film, you only get 2 shots per film holder you use with this camera. So if anything happens to the film (like if it gets shot wrong, exposed scratched, developed wrong, etc.) You have to start all over. Not to mention I have to rent it from the school for only 24 hours and it's probably the heaviest camera ever. Time is the issue with this class. I don't seem to have enough of it! After I shoot, it takes about an hour to develop the film and then maybe another hour to dry. Afterwards, actually printing one picture probably takes about an hour each, give or take. It's a lot more challenging then it seems! I'm glad i'm going to be finished with this class after this semester... because I changed my major. Surprise!
I'm going to be going into FCHD (Family, Consumer, Human Development). I've come to realize that if I want to still be a photographer, I don't need to get a degree in it! I just need to learn everything about it and be good at it. So I think I'll just be minoring in art! FCHD is probably the only other subject that i've taken that has really interested me! There's a good amount of things I can do with it too! So hopefully this will be the right path to take.
The past two weekends have been fun! Two friday's ago I went on a hike to the wind caves with Jordan! I didn't really like all the uphill walking... but once I got up there it was worth it because the view was fantastic!
The next day we drove down to Spanish Fork to go to the Festival of Colors! That was fun! The traffic was horrible though....
This past weekend was great too! On Saturday I went to Jordan's family to watch conference at the conference center! It was great! Afterwards we had a picnic in a park then walked around this new outdoor mall called City Creek!
I went to see The Hunger Games with my roomies that were home that night!
Well.. until the next post
That's all folks :)
